Episode 92 - Paranormal Trivia Challenge

Welcome to the very first I Wanna Party With Bob Trivia Challenge of 2021! The subject of this terrifying trivia is the paranormal, haunted places and haunted/cursed objects, to be specific. Here’s a couple of examples - Where did the Dead Milkmen film part of the music video for “Punk Rock Girl”, that is also a very haunted former prison? What does the name of the popular slumber party distraction, Ouija, mean? There’s even a question about a fictional cursed or haunted doll from the OG Twilight Zone series! This one is not to be missed, mostly because of the cast of ghoulishly great paranormal professionals that have assembled to answer the questions. Let me introduce them! Amanda Paulson of the Pretty F’n Spooky Blog & YouTube Channel, Cherise Williams, the terrific tarot reading investigator and YouTube Channel host, Ivy and Hannah of The Ghoul’s Trip Blog and finally, Josh and Tamara of The Hexfiles Podcast. These good people are all amazing investigators, practitioners of witchcraft, crazy about cryptids and the finest folks you’ll find in a haunted house, or anywhere, really. The musical selections of the episode are “Haunted Town” by Nightbirds and a cover of best Misfits song written about me, “Attitude”. Here are links to the bands and the contestants various ventures!

Episode 74 - Halloween Horror Trivia

Bobtober continues with a trivia contest you can REALLY SINK YOUR TEETH INTO! Yes, Vampire and Witch/Witchcraft movie and TV show trivia, just in time for Halloween. The good folks of the “This Podcast Is Haunted” podcast joined me recently for questions about Dracula, The Craft, The VVitch and more! Cate, Jen and Danny put a stake through the heart of these questions and that was no easy task. How will you measure up? Stoke the fire under your cauldron and see what comes boiling out of the pot, maybe you’ll learn a thing or two? The music of the episode only comes out at night in the form of the two vampire songs - “(She’s My) Vampire Girl” by the Groovie Ghoulies and “Vampire Girl Prefers Me Alive” by J Church. Oi Polloi shares my feelings with the song “Don’t Burn The Witch, Burn The Rich” and War On Women makes an appearance with a BRAND NEW SONG off their forthcoming record, “Wonderful Hell”, which is also the title of the song! Episode 71 - 80's LA Punk & Epitaph Records Trivia with Raging Nathans

Welcome to another trivia challenege episode, this time with the Raging Nathans of Dayton, Ohio! Round one questions are all about 1980’s Los Angeles punk rock and hardcore. Round two questions are all about 1980’s and 1990’s Epitaph Records bands and Round three is sorta-kinda a mix of the two topics. There are four songs by the Raging Nathans off of their new record “Oppositional Defiance” in this episode, in this order - Signals, Stargazing, One Day Closer To Death and Spoiled Brat. What you REALLY need to here is the intro audio drama/comedy that is a play on the Dragnet TV series of yesteryear. Episode 65 - Horror Movie Trivia

Bob here, of the I Wanna Party With Bob Media Institute. In this episode, my laboratory worked overtime to bring you the finest Horror Movie Trivia Challenge ever brought back to life on a stormy, dreadful night. Reanimated? Yes, you should see Igor’s fingernails - he worked himself to the BONE on this one! There are 10 questions related to Zombie Films in Round One. Did you know one of Peter Jackson’s (of LOTR fame) earliest movies is considered the “goriest movie ever made” and is also a zombie film? Indeed. Round Two features Horror movies with a “Satanic” theme. Spoiler Alert - Damien IS the anti-Christ, not just a mean kid. The Final Round features a question from those giants of British Horror - Hammer Films. You know, where Grand Moff Tarkin and Count Dooku got their respective starts. The music of this episode also ties into the two main themes - 45 Grave and Teenage Werewolves with songs straight from The Return Of The Living Dead movie soundtrack, then, TSOL and Bridge City Sinners with songs that have a whole lot to do with the Prince Of Darkness. Fabulously frightening fun is your fate if you dare to listen!!! Check out the links below to the bands and the musical mayhem in the episode!

Episode 61 - The Bollweevils Interview

The Bollweevils are Daryl, Ken, Pete Mumford and Pete Mittler. They are also the kings of Chicago punk. Those are fighting words, I know. Grab an Old Style and we’ll talk about it for a minute. What other Chicago area punk band are part of a secret organization called “The Legion Of Shame”? Huh? I didn’t think so. Dr. Frosty, Captain Fitna, The Amazing Mumford and The Red Hulk have a mission, and that mission is to bring discomfort to the entire world! What? 88 Fingers Louie? Pssshhhh. They’re not Superheros or even Supervillains. So you see, best punk band in the Chicago area, that’s The Bollweevils. Still not sure? Listen to them talk about stuff in this episode, stuff like ruining toilets, UFO’s, getting kicked out of various venues, drinking tequila and more. Listen to the four Bollweevils songs in this episode. Listen to Daryl and his unhealthy knowledge of comic book trivia. Above all, beware The Legion Of Shame, er, The Bollweevils. They’re coming for you next. Also! A few words about the finest buttonmakers in all of punkdom, Mouse And Monkey Button Co. and an organization in the Chicago area that does some great work with the youth of the area - Project Syncere.
